Tontadarya Matha,Trikuteshwara Temple, Veeranarayana Temple, Jumma Masjid  and St.Johns Chruch         

The Temple of Veera Narayana and Trikuteshwara are places of religious and historic importance.Jumma Majid it consists hindu muslim trust. The blind singer Ganayogi Panchakshari Gawayi belonged to Gadag. His music school is famous,very shortly going to get an entry in Guinness book. The two main  jain Temples are dedicated to Parsvanatha Thirthnkara and     Mahaveeera belongs to Gadag district.Tontadarya Matha of Veerashaiva sect of Hindus is doing a lot of educational and Literary activities in and around Gadag.and also famous St.Johns Church.      


Kumara Vyasa   : 

                           Kumara Vyasa's hometown is Gadag, in North Karnataka. Even now, there is a pillar in one of the temples of Gadag, where Kumara Vyasa is said to have composed and sung his works.This pillar is commonly called Kumara Vyasa's pillar. Kumara Vyasa is one of the most famous poets in the Kannada language, spoken in the state of Karnataka, India. Kumara Vyasa's original name was Naranappa, and Kumara Vyasa is really his pen name. The name is meaningful, since his magnum opus is a translation of the Sanskrit Mahabharata, written by the famous poet Vyasa. Kumara Vyasa literally means Little Vyasa or Son of Vyasa.
